Rev. Elder Lillie Brock

Biography

Born in L.A.--Lower Alabama, that is--Lillie Brock took the country road to the city, studying psychology and education as an undergraduate and graduate student before devoting herself full time to corporate training, work that has brought her to cities all over America and throughout the world.  A sought-after keynote speaker and gifted facilitator, Lillie has years of experience assisting corporations like Nestle, AVON, AT&T, Land O’ Lakes, Johnson Controls as well as non-profit organizations like AARP, the American Heart Association, The National Association of People with AIDS and numerous churches, to develop and integrate productive and sustainable change.

In 1998, Lillie’s life took an important turn as she followed her passion and in 2000, she was ordained into professional ministry and credentialed by the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC).  She currently serves as an Elder in her denomination and as such, has oversight of 42 churches.  Lillie says, “This journey has brought me to a place in life where my work is the perfect reflection of my passion, experience and purpose and for that, I am eternally grateful.”

Rev. Brock has been involved with MCC churches for more than half of the denomination’s life and has been working for almost three decades to offer liberation to God’s people who have felt marginalized and dismissed by the church and by society.  Lillie’s father was also an MCC Pastor and served at MCC Atlanta and Joy MCC in Orlando, FL until his death in 1998.  Lillie’s mother, Linda, is a passionate supporter of her daughter and the work of MCC.

Lillie is the co-author of two books, The Secret to Getting through Life’s Difficult Changes and The Change Cycle: How People can Survive and Thrive in Organizational Change which debuted #3 on Amazon’s Organizational Change books last June.

Lillie is best known for her warm and funny style, passionate preaching and unwavering faith.  Lillie lives in Dallas, Texas with her partner of 11 years, Juley, and daughter, Savannah.
